01 COLOURS AND MOOD: We want your content to have a genuine, homemade feel. Touches of colour will give your pages “flavour,” and in this case it appears as though the food has chosen your “palette” for you. See colour palette on the next page.
02 ILLUSTRATION: Inspired by simplistic, slightly playful line drawings that can depict a variety of ideas and food in a fresh and unique way.
03 TYPOGRAPHY: Two styles that are influenced by simple, recognisable typeface and handwritten recipe fragments (something we all have shoved in between cookbooks).
04 DESIGN: We want your branding to have a contemporary, fun feel with a blend of personalised designs for Stellenbosch and the surrounding areas. These are more distinctive and welcoming than the average commercial designs.
Colour Palette
A versatile colour palette inspired by the various colours of pasta dough colouring agents! A beetroot purple, a spinach green, a tomato paste orange and of course the standard pasta tone. The ocean green represents, well, the ocean, nature, greenery where all of your ingredients originate. Simultaneously the brown is the earth, the soil and the trees (this is also personal touch from the Oak Trees and grapevines which are iconic for Stellenbosch). To complete the recipe, add your squid ink black and off-white. Dinner is served!
